Recent maintenance: Complete engine overhaul, chassis renovation by Real Car Restorations from Ochten with new rubbers, shock absorbers, 4 new Classic Sprint tires, and alignment.
Alternator overhauled and heater valve replaced.
The interior was renovated and the complete dashboard was re-covered in walnut and lacquered and polished to a high gloss.
This beautiful car was ordered by Jaguar Cars, New York, in the US, where it was shipped.
The Jaguar Heritage Certificate, essentially the car's birth certificate, shows that the car is still original and has matching numbers. In 1967, the car was registered and put on the road.
The car remained in America for over 20 years, returning to Europe in 1989.
Status 2024
Since 2016, the car has been in the possession of its current owner, who has spared no expense in restoring the car to its former glory.
Important issues not immediately visible from the exterior have also been addressed.
The suspension, for example, now guarantees an optimal driving experience, just as Jaguar intended.
The engine has been completely overhauled, ensuring many trouble-free kilometers ahead of the car.
The dashboard leaves nothing to be desired and is of first-class quality.
The abundant chrome of this classic Jaguar really shines against the stylish Metal Gun Grey.
Of course, the impeccable wire wheels contribute to the perfect visual composition of cultivated power, class, and quality.
All mentioned overhauls and renovations are documented and supported by invoices.
The Experience
Take a seat in this Jaguar and it's like being transported to another dimension.
The smell of genuine leather, the sight of the honest Bakelite switches, the dials, and the gauges confirm that this is an authentic machine, far removed from the sophisticated vehicles of today.
Press the start button and the large 6-cylinder engine immediately springs to life with a matching growl.
A Jaguar doesn't roar; everything remains civilized. Unless you ask for it...
Once on the road, the stable handling and direct steering are immediately apparent.
So, no soft springs or vague steering; no, this car lives up to its color: This Leaping Cat takes off with a passionate, refined rumble.
This classic is easy to get to grips with, but that doesn't stop you from cruising along on a sunny evening in this beautiful machine.
You'll be proud to be seen in it. And the great thing is that with a Jaguar, you meet many positive and happy people. You won't encounter envy, but rather admiration, and sometimes even endearment.
This Mark 2 is registered in the Netherlands, inspected, and insured. Export to another EU country is a relatively simple procedure.
