This 1962 Jaguar Mk II was acquired by the current owner in the early 1990s, and it is powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Finished in black over tan leather, the car features a limited-slip differential, 15″ wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, driving lights, rear wheel spats, walnut interior trim, an Alpine head unit, and dual SU carburetors. This Mk II is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with May 1962 warranty paperwork and a transferable New York registration in the owner’s name.

The vehicle is finished in Black, and exterior equipment includes driving lights, a Leaper hood ornament, a pop-up cowl vent, rear wheel spats, and chrome wraparound bumpers with overriders as well as a chrome grille, window surrounds, trim, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes cracks, scratches, and swirls in the paint and states that both the driver-side doors appear to have been repainted or replaced and appear faded, as does the passenger-side rear door.

The two-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock, and centrally positioned auxiliary gauges displaying water temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 57k miles, approximately 15k of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.8-liter XK inline-six was factory rated at 220 horsepower and 237 lb-ft of torque. Dual SU carburetors are augmented by a dual-snorkel Coopers Cleaner air-filter setup. The seller notes that the engine leaks oil.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive and a limited-slip differential. The clutch feels heavy and slow, according to the seller. Corrosion is visible on underbody components.

Warranty paperwork dated May 1962 is included in the sale.
