This super original 3.8 litre Mark II was first dispatched in February 1962, later being stored from 1979 until 2015, at which point the previous owner acquired the car. At the time in need of some attention, the engine was totally stripped down and rebuilt with new piston rings, crank bearings, gaskets and seals. The cylinder head was overhauled, a new clutch fitted, as were new tyres, a stainless steel exhaust, brake pipes and pads. All fluids were changed at the same time. The bodywork was treated to a full respray after the jacking points and sills gained localised repairs where needed.

In current ownership for now six or so years, the Mark II has covered around 2,000 miles since restoration, being used only on sunny days and occasionally wedding duty. The Jaguar has been treated with Waxoyl annually, drives beautifully, and feels firm and tight as you would expect with such a low mileage. All in all a very genuine example in the best specification for the model.
