This Jaguar MkII is an elegant classic sports saloon, presented in an attractive colour scheme.

It is powered by a 2.4-litre ‘XK6’ straight-six, producing around 120hp, and driving the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. 

The car benefits from over €30,000 spent on various maintenance and refurbishment work during the last six years.

The odometer shows 55,680 miles, but this is not warranted. 

Equipment and features

This MkII is finished in grey, over a red leather-trimmed interior, punctuated by wood trim on the dashboard, door cards and window frames. 

It rides on a set of 15-inch wire wheels with chrome two-eared knock-offs, wrapped in Retro tyres. 

The specification includes a four-spoke steering wheel, Smiths gauges, heating and ventilation, push-out front and rear quarter light windows, small fold-out rear picnic tables, a radio and a locking glove compartment. 

The original owner’s manual will be included. 

Condition

Specific notes from the seller include: the body was repaired and repainted in 2019/2020, and the interior trim was repaired; slight paint bubbles on the left side of the fold.

Service history

In April 2022, the clutch slave cylinder was replaced, along with the gearbox breather, and a wheel alignment was completed.

Scuderia Gran Tourismo carried out major maintenance in December 2021 totalling €20,606, which included removal of the engine, repair to the oil pan, and full dry ice cleaning and repainting of the engine bay. Replacement items included the spark plugs, brake fluid, various hoses and gaskets, water pump, exhaust manifolds, clutch kit, drive belt and pulley, and numerous bushes and mounts.

In August 2020, Scuderia Gran Tourismo replaced the front brake discs and callipers, as well as the steering joint boots and control arm bushes.

A new battery was installed in April 2019.
