Ebay item 6/23/10 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-Mark-10-Mk-X-RUNNING-DRIVING-PROJECT-Much-Work-Co ...
Current bid $1,525, no reserve, 19 bids 4 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Here is a project with a difference
No major rust
Runs & Drives
Pretty paint
Beautiful Leather - $2510 invoice provided
Approximately 10 years ago the past owner spent good money on:
Engine work (9:1 compression & 20 over pistons)
Compression readings: #1 (155) #2 (145) #3 (160) #4 (170) #5 (155) #6 (165)
Upper timing chain
Suspension work
Crane electronic ignition
Voltage regulator
Transmission service
New steering box
New high capacity radiator core
Front brake calipers sleeved in stainless
New paint
When she came to us we drained the old gas out of the left tank, added new, put in a battery and she fired right up.
Sold on a bill of sale with lien sale paperwork. (Optional: let me know if you want a California title instead)
The miles listed is the actual odometer reading - we have no knowledge of total miles driven.
The negatives:
(1) Doors: needs interior door panels & has some bubbling at the bottoms coming through the paint
It took us 30 seconds to do a local Craig's List search and find 4 solid doors WITH door panels for $400 total in San Diego. This would be cheaper than repairing the existing doors even though the rust spots are quite minor.
(2) Also has bubbling at the low points of the fenders (see photos)
The floor pans appear to be mostly solid (see notes & photos at the bottom)
(3) It is very complete but we must assume that some small bits (trim, et al) might be missing.
(4) It looks really pretty in the photos but make no mistake - this is a project. Plan to trailer it home.
