Auction description:
1962 Jaguar Mk2 3.8 Saloon Auto
Australian-delivered via Brysons Motors
Chassis number: 209839
Engine number: LC5117-8
Built in December 1962 and Australian-delivered by Bryson’s just a month later, this Jaguar Mark 2 3.8 automatic has been little used in recent years by its elderly owner. According to the Jaguar Heritage Trust verification certificate which accompanies the car, it left the factory in finished Mist Grey with a Red leather interior. However, around 30 years ago it underwent a full restoration and refinished in Opalescent Silver Blue with grey leather interior. It sits on the correct steel wheels with hubcaps, rather than wire wires often retrospectively fitted. Today, this Mark 2 is complete and is affordable classic motoring. The Jaguar was on full registration until March 2021 but will now need a service and recommissioning, with attention paid to the steering and brakes. The aftermarket choke needs adjusting/rebuilding.
Our ’62 Jaguar Mark 2 automatic also comes with a reprint of the Mark 2 Service manual and a Spare Parts catalogue (issued March 1972).
The 1962 Jaguar Mark 2 saloon is being sold unregistered.
