Sellers description:
1959 Jaguar Mark I sedan. We are listing this car for a friend - NO RESERVE.
This car has had the chevy conversion done, it has a Chevy 350 V8 engine with a Chevy three speed automatic transmission. It sounds good (can spin the rear tires), no smoke or oil leaks, the transmission shifts well and the brakes work. When our friend got it, the car had been sitting for a while. He replaced the battery and electric fuel pump and the car started right up, he also gave it a tune up. He also has not driven it much and he just can't keep it anymore. It has a clear California title.
The body overall is in very good conition. The floors, frame, rocker panels are solid. The only rust issues are small areas in the bottom of the doors (from trapped water), also the bottom spare wheel well in the trunk has some small holes (also from trapped water). The paint looks good waxed, but fades out after a while. Overall the chrome looks nice. The car has wire knock-off wheels with Jaguar spinners (they have been cleaned, but have rust). The interior has been redone in the past and overall looks nice. The wood is surprisingly good, only the oil pressure gage works. Some lights work. Naturally, the car will have to be trailerd.
