    Ebay item 11/19/13
    www.ebay.com/itm/200989983838
Car has a buy it now price of $6,500 for 6 days. 57k miles.

    Sellers description:
This car just came out of long term storage and is ready for a new home.

I am listing this for my cousin who bought it about 15 years ago with intentions of restoring it and its been stored since. It was running and driving at that time but had no brakes.

I put a battery in it and it cranks right over but I haven't got it fired up yet. I was impressed with everything that still worked (lights, signals, blower, dimmer, etc)

This car appears to be very complete and unmolested, hubcaps and some stainless around the winshield is all I noticed missing so far but I'm no jag expert.

Well, I couldn't resist. MK1's aren't too common and while this one has been sitting forever, it appears to be very complete and non-messed-with. The seller took my offer and agreed to trailer it to me.
From a window sticker, it appears the car was last on the road in 1971. I think it is actually a 1957. Other than the paint, the Jag appears to be completely original. Has a nice partial tool kit; original radio, jack and lug-nut brace. Original set of keys. All original and complete interior. I can't get to glove box to open; hope to get a surprise there.
The clock shows a little more than 57K miles and I would believe that to be accurate. The front and rear window chrome is off; there were two sets of rear chrome and half a set for the front in the back seat. I did find some for the front on eBay so that was easy. Not sure where to go with this, but I'm going to get her running (and stopping) and then decide what would be next. Maybe a repaint to the original grey????

I received the Heritage Certificate preliminary information and saw the car was built mid 1957. The title I received had it listed as a 1959 which I thought was way too late; maybe a '58, but not a '59. The VIN was also incorrect (OM instead of DN) so I'm thinking somewhere along the line the 57 was also misread and likely why the year was off. Anyways, I'm changing the year to 1957 and also did so on the title.
Still no work on the car. Have some plans to fix it up and go with wire wheels (body color) and disk brakes. Maybe two tone paint................

    Mike.

It appears Mike is selling, Ebay item 7/24/15

    www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-Other-/161772188912

Car has a buy it now price of $6,500 for 6 days. 57k miles. Plymouth, Michigan.

    Sellers description:

Nice 1957 Jaguar 3.4 Sedan, MK1, that has been off the road for many years. It is originally from Virginia, which probably explains the lack of major rust in the body. It is not running. The engine does turn. The car was taken off the road as the brakes were not working and it has been sitting ever since. All the wood was recently redone with a burled wood-tone finish. The front and rear seats were re-dyed and are in excellent condition. At some point the car was poorly repainted and it is peeling off. The interior door panels and trim are all usable. The headliner has one hole in it and should be replaced. It has its original tube-type radio. The complete tool kit, jack and wheel brace come with the car. The only thing I believe is missing from the car are the hub caps. My plan was to restore the car as a very nice driver, but I have too many projects. The Jag has disk wheels and drum brakes. I was going to convert it to disk brakes and wire wheels. For that purpose, I have a complete MK2 front suspension and rear axle that can be used for the conversion; these will be included with the car.

The body is very solid. It has some surface corrosion underneath, but no rust through. It has been stored inside and is not a junk yard queen. The paint needs to be redone. All the chrome is intact and in good condition. It is numbers matching and I have a Jaguar Heritage Certificate. Has the desirable 4-speed transmission and electric overdrive. I have a clear Michigan title.

This 1957 Jaguar Mk I is a left-hand drive saloon that is powered by a 3.4-liter XK inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in green over green upholstery. Equipment includes dual SU carburetors, 15″ wire-spoke knock-off wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, polished trim, front and rear vent windows, bumper overriders, wood interior trim, Smiths gauges, and a four-spoke steering wheel. The car was acquired by the current owner in 2019 and is said to have been refurbished under current ownership. This Mk I saloon is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a clean Florida title.

The exterior was refinished in its current shade of green as part of a refurbishment completed in 2021. Exterior features include bumper overriders, an interior vent door on the windshield cowl, a leaper hood ornament, a dual-exit exhaust behind the right rear wheel, and polished trim on the grille, light surrounds, window surrounds, and bumpers. Some of the exterior images shown in the gallery were taken in July 2021

Green-painted 15″ wire spoke knock-off wheels wear 185-section Vredestein tires. Stopping is handled by four-wheel disc brakes.

The interior features front bucket and a rear bench that were reupholstered in green leather as part of the refurbishment. Wood trim lines the dashboard and door panels, and additional equipment includes front and rear vent windows, dual glove compartments, Jaguar-logo lap belts for the front occupants, and a floor-mounted shifter.

The four-spoke steering wheel features a Jaguar horn button and fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock, and auxiliary gauges monitoring fuel level, amperage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 58k miles, approximately 200 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 3.4-liter inline-six features dual SU carburetors, polished valve covers, and an aluminum radiator. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
