Car was at auction 6/14
www.barons-auctions.com/details.php

Auction description:
Lot No: 127
Manufacturer
Jaguar Cars
Model MKII 3.8 Sports Saloon
First Registered 1963
Registration No 737 HYL
Engine No 9414-8
Chassis No P230075BW
MOT None
Colour Midnight Blue

Offered here is a 51 year-old, 3.8 automatic MKII, which presents very well but does require some TLC. The vendor believes that the car requires a new fuel tank, because of fuel contamination, so it is currently not running. However, it is presented in quite nice order and is equipped with relatively new chrome wire wheels, a full length Webasto style sunroof, which looks quite new, a respectable interior and Coombes-style arches. From five feet away the car looks outstanding, but closer inspection does reveal a few blemishes in the paint and the odd scratch, but nothing too alarming.

This MKII offers an excellent opportunity to acquire a very attractive car, with great potential, at an even more attractive price.

The car comes with a hoard of spares, which are boxed and housed in the boot, plus a MKII Windscreen and a pair of full spats, painted and ready to fit.

The car is being offered for light restoration and recommissioning, comes complete with a comprehensibe history file some 3 inches thick (7,5cm) and an original workshop manual.

Guide Price: £8000 to £10000

Car to return to auction 9/17
www.barons-auctions.com/auction_details.php

Auction description:
1963 Jaguar MK2 3.8
Lot 138
Manufacturer: Jaguar
Model: MK2 3.8
First Registered: 1963
Registration No: 727 HYL
Mileometer: 5,300
Chassis No: P230075BW
MOT: July 2018
Colour: Navy Blue

The desirable 3.8 ltr example offered here was previously purchased from Barons in June 2014 as an automatic. It has since had much work done including a rebuilt replacement engine and a manual gearbox conversion. There is a full length Webasto roof fitted and the car is also fitted with Coombes style wheel arches. A large History file is supplied with the car along with hand books, a service manual and invoices. The car is described by the vendor as in good condition but there is some blistering in some areas of the paintwork.

Guide Price: £12,000 to £15,000
