Sellers description:
Jaguar mk2 for restoration has been dry stored in a boat yard since the 80s body is great just one hole in rocker, car seems to be in grey primer, wire wheels has power steering, no engineor trans have bumpers etc looks like most of the wood is there, seats are shot but are there. no title, this would make a great project because its not a pile of rot, has all glass as well. the price is firm because this is a very solid example. vin number is p220776dn

Car returns to ebay 7/28/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-1962-3-8-Liter-Mark-II-Overdrive-/190708206603
Opening bid $12,500, no reserve, no bids 9 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Hanover, Massachusetts.

Sellers description:
1962 Mark II has everything going for it. It came through from the factory with most of the options available which include the wire wheels, the 3.8 Liter Engine, the electronic overdrive and the power differential. The car is also fitted with a manual gearbox, which is very desirable as most shipped to the United States came through with a very poor performing Borg Warner automatic transmission. The car was specially order from Jaguar to come through with the color Opalescent Bronze. The car has come from an estate and the gentleman who owned it parked it in his garage in 1980 and has sat there since. The body on the car is in exceptional condition. All the steel is the original from the factory, NO STEEL has been replaced and it hasn't been in any major accidents. The interior is dry and cracked from years of sitting, yet the paint on the car is exceptional. The original jack is still with the car, but the tools and the spare wheel and tire are missing. Since the car has been sitting so long, the mechanicals will need attention. I have not tried to start the car and have no idea what it will take to get it running. I have applied for a Jaguar Heritage Certificate for the car, but have not received it as of yet, but I do have the rough draft. The car steers and rolls so it can be shipped very easily.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
