Car has a buy it now price of $5,000. Car now said to be in Wilton, Connecticut. 95k miles.

    Sellers description:
1961 Jaguar Mark 2 3.8L with manual 4 Speed overdrive car and wire wheels. I have come to the unfortunate realization that I have too many projects and will never get to this one. The car is British Racing Green with a Suede Green Interior. If you are going to restore a Mark 2 this is a very desirable option and color combination. The car is very solid with minimal rust. The floors and trunk are clean but it will need the rocker panels replaced. It has a scrape on the driver's side door and a ding on the roof. It also has some rust spots in the rear quarter panels. The car is almost complete. The heater, spats and rear window chrome trim were removed and are in the boot. It is missing the top dash wood, the passenger side interior wood piece and the trunk lock. A friend of mine has these spare parts so they are available. The brake system (calipers, master cylinder, etc.) have been removed for refurbishment. I have not tried to start the motor but the carbs are stuck so I am sure they need to be rebuilt. The last inspection sticker on the windshield is a NY State inspection sticker from 1972. It has a clean and current open NJ title signed from the previous owner. I also have a copy of the title from the prior deceased owner. Note: the bonnet fits fine but is not closed all the way in the pictures.

    Sellers description:
1961 JAGUAR MK2 FACTORY 3.8 OD MANUAL TRANSMISSION.MATCHING NUMBER CAR. ORIGINAL PAINT AND INTERIOR. RARE OPPORTUNITY TO RESTORE A WONDERFUL NO STORY MK2. THE CHANCES OF FINDING A GOOD PROJECT LIKE THIS ONE IS CLOSE TO NONE. THIS CAR IS A PERFECT CANDIDATE FOR RESTORATION.MATCHING NUMBER CAR,NEVER BEEN ABUSED. THE ONLY RUST SPOT I FOUND ARE ON THE ROCKERS.THE REST OF THE CAR APPEARS SOLID. I WAS GOING TO RESTORE THIS CAR BUT THE REALITY SAYS OTHERWISE.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
