Car on BaT
bringatrailer.com/listing/1967-jaguar-mk-ii-22/
Auction description:
Seller: JFHOUSTON
Location: Morongo Valley, California
Chassis: P181125BW
61k Miles Shown, TMU
3.8-Liter Inline-Six
Three-Speed Automatic Transmission
White Paint
Red Upholstery
15" Steel Wheels w/Hubcaps
Wood Interior Trim
Private Party or Dealer: Private Party
Lot #157760
This 1967 Jaguar Mk II is a running-and-driving project that had a 3.8-liter inline-six installed under prior ownership and was acquired by the seller in February 2024. Finished in white over red, the car is equipped with a three-speed automatic transmission, dual SU carburetors, 15″ steel wheels, hubcaps, four-wheel disc brakes, 340 badging, front bucket seats, and wood interior trim. The seller notes that the electrical system needs work and the drivetrain leaks fluid. This Mk II project is now offered at no reserve with spare parts and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in white, and exterior equipment includes a “Leaper” hood ornament, a pop-up cowl vent, 340 badging, and chrome wraparound bumpers with overriders as well as a chrome grille, window surrounds, trim, and dual exhaust outlets. Side mirrors are attached to both front fenders, and another mirror is affixed to the driver door. The headlights, driving lights, brake lights, turn signals, and emergency flashers do not work. Some chrome parts exhibit wear, and other imperfections are visible.
Body-color 15″ steel wheels feature Jaguar-logo hubcaps and are mounted with 175/65 Accelera Eco Plush tires. A spare steel wheel without a tire is located in the trunk. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension, front coil springs, a cantilevered live rear axle, and rear leaf springs. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features individual front seats and a rear bench trimmed in red upholstery along with color-coordinated door panels. Wood trim adorns the dashboard and the door caps. A Kenwood cassette stereo is fitted in the center stack but does not work. The heater motor functions on low speed only.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock, and centrally positioned auxiliary gauges displaying water temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 61k miles, approximately five of which were added under current ownership; true mileage is unknown.
The 3.8-liter inline-six was installed under previous ownership and features dual SU carburetors and smooth cam covers. The fuel system was flushed, the carburetors adjusted, and the oil changed in preparation for the sale, according to the seller.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The seller notes that the engine and the transmission leak fluid.
