Very likely the car that was used for the 1952 Monte Carlo Rallye by the Heikki Korppoo team. Not 100% sure, but no other car we know, would have been able to make it in time. There have been a few articles about these and the 1953 Monte Carlo Rallye car (732636) survives and was featured in the Jaguar Enthusiast magazine in 2014. Also registered HM-7

The original paperwork has been confused with another car that was also originally registered as "HM-7", so two later registrations were wrong, they belong to another later Black MKVII.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
