Restored with maximum priority to authenticity.

Hello, very lovely car and fine work. But if authenticity was a priority why use a) a paint colour b) interior colour c) and a hood (convertible top) colour that never was available from Jaguar for any MK IV model?

There was one "blue" interior for MKV and possibly late MKIV but that is "Pale Blue" (later "Light Blue") which is very pale, looks like light grey.

Cheers!

"French Grey" is a very light grey, with a shift towards green in the highlights, the original hood material contained genuine Mohair and is NLA, unfortunately.

Authenticity refers to all mechanical, structural (wood & metal), fasteners, both concealed and visuals except for the colors of paint, hood and interior leather. While taste is subjective, it is my opinion that the colors chosen highlighted the beautiful lines of that model.

Hi, thanks for the clarification. Yes, a lovely car altogether, but as knowledge concerning the original colours in 1946-1951 is very scarce we've been trying to collect it and have as a recource available to everyone in here. Cheers!
