Sold £13500 + Premium

Auction description:
Model MKIV Saloon
First Registered 1948
Registration No NoUKReg
Engine No Not Quoted
Chassis No 612575
MOT None
Colour Bordeaux Red
Offered here is a 1948 MKIV 3.5 loitre saloon, which, it is said, was first registered in Australia. In 1991 the car, the in excellent condition, was exported to a collector in Japan, where it remained, unregistered until 2012, when it was imported into the UK, arriving around a week ago.

The car is now in need of tlc as the engine is now stripped, and much of the frontal brightwork has been removed from the car and boxed. The car is said to be extremely sound, with a very good interior and all the parts, required to complete the car, are said to be present.

This MKIV should be viewed as an excellent basis for restoration with the main structure being in very sound condition.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
