TO BE SOLD AT OUR DVCA AUCTION SALE ON THURSDAY 24th JUNE 2010
Sellers description: Registration Number: FBM 413
Chassis Number: 412326
Jaguar, one of the great British marques, started from humble beginings. Sir William Lyons' SS (Swallow Sidecar) Company produced Jaguar models before the War, but it was in 1945 that the company changed its name.
This handsome sporting motor car shares much with the earlier pre-war SS, both mechanically and bodily, using the Standard over-head valve engine and gearbox. The brakes are mechanically operated Girling.
In long term ownership, we understand that this very original example is in good condition throughout. The sunroof has been professionally paneled-in and the headlining has been replaced. The upholstery is original, therefore showing some signs of patina. The dashboard and cappings have been refurbished.
The history file includes an invoice for work to the cylinder head, dated 8.6.2006, together with a factory service manual, two instruction books, a spare parts catalogue, a quantity of old tax discs and MOT test certificates, the old V5 document and the V5C registration certificate. The tax exempt road fund licence is supplied with the motor car, and it is intended that the MOT will be renewed prior to the sale.
Guide: £10000 - 12000
