NO TITLE, Clean bill of sale only!!!! 1962 Jaguar Mark X with good running, 66K original miles , numbers matching 3.8 Straight port Gold top engine. As you likely know, the same engine found in all series 1 3.8 E-types. Engine has good oil pressure and good compression. No smoke. Plugs are dry not oily. Car moves under its own power, Brakes are weak at best, just adequate enough for transporting. Sills, Rockers front floors need replacing. Interior shot. Gauges work. All Glass original.This Mark 10 was dispatched to NY on September 20th 1962 for a Washington Diplomat in the state department. Purchased" UK home delivery" Comes with its Heritage trust certificate showing all #'s matching. I only have the ignition key. All other keys missing. Ready for a quick early E-type engine swap or full body and interior restoration. Original desirable Black with Red interior. The car has been stored away since the mid 80's.
I purchased this car recently to have a spare E-type engine. Luck would have it, I found another good spare thru a friend that's all ready for me to stuff in the back corner. I don't have the room to leave this boat laying around.
Compression front to back 1: 160 PSI. 2: 154. 3: 152. 4:166. 5: 154. 6: 164. Oil pressure is also good. no bad sounds. All three SU HD8's are working fine and not leaking. Currently running on small Gas can in trunk.
Comes with Rear straight bumper. Original alloy intake plenum.
