Ebay item 4/13/15 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-Other-MK-10-/231530625709
Current bid US $2,000 reserve not met 1 bid 6 days left in auction. 60k miles.
Sellers description:
Selling this very nice old 1962 Jaguar Mk 10 Saloon, the car runs and drives just fine, one of the two fuel tanks has been cleaned and the other still needs to be taken out and cleaned. The car belongs to a client who is a retired master mechanic and who has owned this car for many years. He has been the principal mechanic for most of the cars life.
In car engine rebuild was performed about 300 miles but several years ago, with new pistons, rings bearings and cylinder head rebuild.
The carbs have been rebuilt, and the engine runs great and starts easily.
As you can see from the pictures the carbs intake plenum and water manifolds were beautifully polished.
The car has new hoses, belts, water pump, radiator, motor mounts and much more.
With the exception of the leading edge on all the seats the interior is quite original as is the paint on the car. Never wrecked or damaged
The car should easily qualify as a survivor for show purposes, and shows quite well for its age.
While thin in a few areas the original black paint is quite nice.
Tires are good condition with much life left on them.
Exhaust is in excellent condition and has no leaks.
You can see from the pictures that the car clearly has road film on it but NO Rust any where.
The car has been garage kept pretty much since new.
All the glass in the car is in good to excellent condition
Some of the weather stripping on the doors is pretty tired, and you should figure on replacing that stuff.
Dash and Instruments are in good order, and all the instruments seem to work fine and the wood is over all very nice.
The car is fitted with 4 wheel disc brakes from the factory.
These are stately driving cars and quite nice handling for their age.
No rust in the body and all doors open and close nicely.
The car includes a certificate of trace history from Jaguar Heritage.
It was sold new through the New York distributor o a client in Tacoma Washington and it has been a local car for its life.
The speedometer was rebuilt some years back so the reading is not showing the real miles on the car.
Date of manufacture was June 29th 1962
The car has a clear Washington State Title.
