Car to be at Coy's auction 5/10
www.coys.co.uk/auctions/lot.php
Auction description:
1967 Jaguar Mk II 3.8
Lot 110
Registration Number: PPL 604E
Chassis Number: 234449BW
This Jaguar Mk. II 3.8 was partially restored in the 1990s; however, work stopped before it was complete so some finishing is required. The bodywork is believed to have been restored to a high standard and the engine and gearbox are believed to have been overhauled or replaced, however they have not been run for several years. At some point the car has been converted from an automatic to manual transmission. Finished in British Racing Green with a red hide interior and new chrome wire wheels, this represents an opportunity to acquire a MkII where a lot of the hard work has already been done.

Car to return to auction 12/13
www.bonhams.com/auctions/21274/lot/322/
Auction description:
Lot 322
1967 Jaguar Mk2 3.8-litre Saloon
Registration no. PPL 604E
Chassis no. 234449BW
Engine no. 1E2883-8
£5,000 - 8,000
US$ 8,200 - 13,000
To be sold without reserve
By order of the executors of the late John Coombs
John Coombs bought this late Mk2 in 2005 intending to make it the last to be converted in the style of the racing Mk2 saloons that he prepared and entered in the early 1960s. Unfortunately this never happened. 'PPL 604E' started life with automatic transmission and had already been converted to a manual/overdrive gearbox prior to John's purchase. The Mk2 was used sparingly by John in its current condition, which his resident engineer says is that of a good driver requiring some cosmetic refurbishment.
Finished appropriately in British Racing Green, the car is offered with V5C registration document and MoT to July 2014.
