Car at auction 3/26

Auction description:
Lot 501960 Jaguar Mark II Saloon Project NO RESERVE [Location: Sydney]
Chassis no. 201636BW
Engine no. Not sighted
We understand this Mark II Saloon was part of a larger collection of Jaguars owned by a marque enthusiast who sold them to someone in Queensland several years ago. The current Sydney owner bought a group of cars in order to secure a couple of special models he was particularly interested in and the remainder have been kept in dry storage ever since.
In neglected condition, the Mark II’s identification plate indicates it was originally powered by 3.8-litre XK motor paired with the Borg-Warner automatic transmission and dates from 1960. No engine number was sighted but the block is now a 3.4-litre unit. The body is in generally poor condition but it would appear to be relatively complete mechanically and was briefly started and run off a remote tank upon delivery to Amaroo Park.
Presenting as a good source of spare parts or a restoration project for someone not faint of heart, the Jaguar will be sold unregistered, strictly as viewed and with No Reserve.
