Car to be at auction 9/10
www.barons-auctions.com/details.php

Auction description:
Model MKII 4.2 Saloon
First Registered 1968
Registration No SKK624G
Engine No 7J3243-8
Chassis No IJ4388DN
MOT April 2011
Colour Jaguar Racing Green
Originally a 240, the car has been professionally converted to a 4.2 XK engine, on 2 x 2" SU carbs. It has been equipped with Coombs rear arches and a very expensive louvered bonnet. The louvers are not just on a separate plate, which has been let in, they have been correctly and skilfully been created in the bonnet skin itself.

Finished in Jaguar Racing Green with red interior, the car has a new wood-rim steering wheel, new furflex throughout, revarnished wood work and polished cam covers. This very sound car sits on a set of silver, easy-clean, wire wheels.

Estimate £6000-8000

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
