Car to be at auction 7/17
www.barons-auctions.com/auction_details.php

Auction description:
Manufacturer: Jaguar
Model: Mk2 240
First Registered: 1967
Registration No: Being Registered with DVLA
Mileometer: 25,000
Chassis No: 1J1213 DN
MOT: June 2018
Colour: Dark Green

This Jaguar MK2 240 was first registered in the U.K. in 1967, then later went to Ireland, until it was recently shipped back to the U.K. by the vendor. It has history going back to day one when the car was first registered, with the original receipt of purchase showing the price when it was bought new. It also has MOTs going back to 1980, with lots of history from when it was registered new.

The car has only done just over 25,000 since new, and the vendor says that there is enough evidence to prove that this is correct. It is presented in dark green with black interior, and features a sunroof and a manual gear box with overdrive. The vendor states that the car is in immaculate condition with original paint work, with the interior also being in great condition.

The car has just been given a new MOT, with £700 worth of work being carried out, including a new battery. It is currently in the process of being re-registered in the UK.

Guide Price: £15,000 to £18,000

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
