Ebay item 5/20/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/STUNNING-1966-JAGUAR-MARK-X-TEN-ONE-OWNER-CALIF-NO-RES-/ ...
Current bid $1,025, no reserve, 4 bids 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
One owner 1966 Jaguar Mark X sedan with 4.2 motor. Owned in Monterey California and garaged by a careful Jaguar loyal car collector.
See the rare Jaguar owners club emblem. Still has its California historical license plates. No rust clean body and undercarriage. Floors, trunk and rockers are very nice condition. Perfect car to restore. Purchased from an estate sale. I lost my storage space and have no place to store the car inside and its too nice to keep outside.
I have the service log from previous owner and it shows how detailed the records were kept. Vin/data plates are still in tact on wheel fender arch. See the many pics and youtube video below.
It has the rare rear air conditioning that still works. Wood is in excellent condition considering its age. Tray tables in the back are very good condition. Original leather seats are good in front but rear has tears and needs new leather. Carpets are still very good shape. Paint is decent but has some road rash on passenger side where owner hit side of his garage backing out. Chrome is all in tact and very good condition.
Just installed new spark plug wires, cap and rotor, and new starter. Car runs and drives but sometimes is hard starting or not starting. I am not sure why but think it may be a loose coil wire or something else. It will need proper diagnosis. It was running fine when I bought it but it has been sitting for a few months and may just need a proper tune up or repair.
The steering wheel column is a bit loose and needs to bushing to keep it in place. Transmission selector is works but arrow pointer does not correctly point to gear selected. It shows neutral gear all the time. Basically I just move the gear shift down to the proper gear to put car in gear and go.
Clean california title in hand.
