Up for sale with NO RESERVE!!! is an ORIGINAL 1966 JAGUAR TWO-OWNER CALIFORNIA CAR! This car was purchased NEW here in the San Francisco Bay Area at E.F. SWEENY BRITISH CARS. The first owner owned it from 1966 until 1983 when the second owner acquired the car. This car has only had one paint job in its entire life done in the late 80's with miscellaneous touch-ups done throughout the years. There are some scrapes and nicks as you would expect from a car that has been driven with pictures below of those areas. The body is SUPER STRAIGHT and 100% RUST FREE since this car has ALWAYS BEEN GARAGED. THE FLOORS ARE PERFECT. THE TRUNK AREA IS PERFECT. I CANNOT FIND A SPEC OR BUBBLE OF RUST ON THIS CAR ANYWHERE, It's Amazing!!! The CHROME still SHINES very well for being ORIGINAL. The rear bumper has a small indentation as shown in the pictures below. ALL THE GLASS IS IN GREAT SHAPE WITH NO CHIPS OR SCRATCHES. The rubber could stand to be replaced. The chrome trim that goes down alongside of the rear license plate is off but does come with the sale of the car. Three of the tires are in GREAT SHAPE. The passenger front is at less than 50%. This car FIRES UP ON THE FIRST TRY EVERY TIME. It has an ELECTRIC CHOKE on the dash along with a PUSH BUTTON START. The 4.2 Litre Inline 6 runs AMAZING and SOUNDS WONDERFUL THROUGH THE DUAL EXHAUST. All the carburetors are in sync with GREAT THROTTLE RESPONSE. I was told by the mechanic that there is a loose exhaust hanger that rattles at certain rpm's. This car is equipped with an automatic transmission. There is a slight hesitation in the shift from first to second but it has always done that according to both owners and has never been an issue that will get worse. The brakes work well. The connectors to the master cylinder that work the break lights need to be changed therefore there are no brake lights currently. A new master cylinder cap will correct this issue I just haven't got around to buying one. There is play in the steering so driving it above 65 mph you can definitely feel it. ALL THE ELECTRICAL WORKS. The POWER WINDOWS go up and down SMOOTHLY as they should. The interior is ALL ORIGINAL BLACK LEATHER with BLACK CARPET and GREY WOOL HEADLINER. The LEATHER on the front seats is weathered, cracked and has some separations. The REAR SEATS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE! The REAR FOLD DOWN TRAYS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE ALONG WITH THE MIRRORS. The WOOD on the dash and doors could stand to be re-varnished but still looks okay. EVERYTHING in the interior functions as it should except for the speedometer and the tachometer. THIS CAR IS EQUIPPED WITH SWITCHABLE DUAL FUEL TANKS. The fuel reading on one of the tanks is also off. The TELESCOPIC WHEEL FUNCTIONS GREAT! The sun visors have become de-laminated and can easily be glued back. The trunk is in GOOD CONDITION WITH ALL THE PANELS STILL IN TACT. The rear package panel is hanging down but does have original screws in box of parts that come with the sale of the vehicle. It just needs to be screwed back in. Included is the ORIGINAL FULL SIZE BIAS-PLY TIRE SPARE ALONG WITH THE ALL ORIGINAL JAGUAR TOOL KIT. There is a few boxes of miscellaneous parts that go with the sale of the vehicle. There are TWO ORIGINAL JAGUAR SHOP MANUALS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. The ORIGINAL JAGUAR OPERATING MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE HANDBOOK IS STAMPED WITH THE ORIGINAL JAGUAR DEALERSHIP THAT SOLD THIS CAR NEW, E.F. SWEENY BRITISH CARS OUT OF SAN RAFAEL, CALIFORNIA. TO SUM UP THIS IS A VERY RARE CLASSIC JAGUAR THAT HAS NEVER LEFT CALIFORNIA. IT HAS THE ORIGINAL BLACK AND YELLOW CALIFORNIA LICENSE PLATES FROM 1966. IT'S ALSO INCREDIBLY RARE TO FIND THIS CAR WITH ZERO RUST ANYWHERE! I HAVE THE ORIGINAL SMALL CALIFORNIA TITLE (PINK SLIP) FROM THE SECOND OWNER DATED BACK TO 1983.
