Current bid $1,825 reserve not met, 5 bids, 8 days left in auction. Complete VIN on the car is J661D75474BW. Car now located in Olympia, Washington.

Sellers description:
The folding picnic tables with vanity mirrors are a luxurious touch to complement the wide leather seats. A trunk mounted evaporator supplies air conditioning to the rear as the first priority. A/C was very rare in this era, with most units being an after market installation of dubious quality and crude construction. This car has a Jaguar unit, which will need to be converted to R-134 to return it to service. It has independent blowers for the left and right sides.

California Black Plate
This car grew up in California and is as rust free as a 41 year car can be. The heat has been unkind to the seats however and they require restoration along with the front door panels for the look of the car. Similarly the rubber moldings around the front and rear glass is deteriorated and needs to be renewed. One rubber molding and all the chrome trim is included with the car and will be placed in the trunk for delivery.

Mechanicals
This is a low mileage car in good running condition with good brakes and tight running gear. It has all new hoses and Gates green stripe belts. The ignition has been improved with a quality solid state point unit on the original distributor. The alternator is a Bosch. All of the difficult to find parts are there, including the Lucas windshield washer bottle. The B-W transmission shifts well and the driveline is solid.

It has no coolant or significant oil leaks and the oil and coolant are nice and clean. The carburetors need a tune, as Jaguar did not coat its fuel tanks during this era. The LH pump is not working. The RH, pumps fine.

The exhaust sytem has been replaced and looks good. The cam covers are not original, but I am trying to recover the originals as the later ones do not support the tach drive. They will be included if I receive them.

Electricals
All the power windows work and the wipers and lights are functional. Two guages (temp & oil) are Stewart Warner. They are the same as the E-Type should you wish to change them. The wiring look good and all the plastic insulation looks good.

History
This car grew up in Santa Barbara and then moved to the foothills of the mountains. The older gentleman I purchased it from had health concerns that forced him to relocate. This is a great car as all the difficult and expensive to repair components are in good condition. It needs cosmetic work and a better quality paint job. The difficult to replace grille, bumpers and chrome look really nice and that is a perfect start. This car is sold AS-IS; FOB Olympia, Washington.

Previous auction received no bids.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
