Ebay item 7/21/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1965-Jaguar-Mark-X-Base-/263097222110
Opening bid US $4,995, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction, complete VIN on this car is J651D75310BW, seller albion_wheels, 87k miles.

Sellers description:
This 1965 Jaguar Mark 10 is a solid, decent car in need of light restoration. The engine runs fine, with freshly rebuilt triple carburetors. The fuel tanks were cleaned and etched but never finish coated, so the car is currently running off a gas tank in the trunk. The electric fuel pump works fine.

This car spent all its life in southern California until about a year ago when we bought it with some other cars. It was owned and cherished by one family since new. Some time in the recent past the interior was reupholstered professionally in high quality black leather, as original. The leather is supple and free of tears, fading, or other damage. The carpets were also replaced, probably at the same time, and they are in good condition. Headliner is excellent. The woodwork is original and needs refinishing. There is some veneer damage but overall it is sound.

The body is excellent apart from one or two small rusting areas which will need welding. There is some bubbling along the rear wheel arch on one side and on the rocker panel, but this car is very, very solid and sound, underneath and above. We have lots of pictures to show the details, and we invite any inspection.

The car runs, drives, and shifts fine, and the brakes work well, even the handbrake. The parking pawl is not working, so that will need repair. Oil pressure is excellent, both cold and hot.

The paint does not look bad from fifteen feet away but it needs to be redone when the rust damage is addressed. Chrome is overall pretty nice but not perfect.

The car is 100 percent complete, including the jack and handle, factory toolbox with some tools and unused Michelin spare tire.

This car has been off the road for several years, so it would need recommissioning but it certainly represents an easy restoration or a fine driver with minimal servicing.

The car is in Massachusetts

Car returns to ebay 11/25/17

Classified ad price: US $13,000 seller gr8dayca, car now in West Warren, Massachusetts, 9k miles.

Sellers description:
This 1965 JAGUAR is located in a Copart facility in WEST WARREN, MASSACHUSETTS 01092. I tried to sell it on Copart, but this vehicle is a classic, clean title vehicle. You can buy this vehicle on Ebay or through Copart by becoming a member. This vehicle has a clear CALIFORNIA Title. 1965 JAGUAR MARK X 4.2

Mechanical
The Mark X was Jaguar's flagship, a large, ultra-luxurious but fast machine, equipped with a 265 bhp dual overhead camshaft E-type Jaguar 4.2 liter engine and the independent rear end, adapted from the E-type as well. The Mark X was faster than most luxury cars of its day. We have rebuilt the triple carburetors. The engine runs well, the transmission shifts smoothly and the brakes work well, even the handbrake! Triple carburetors have been rebuilt. The previous owner did a compression test on the car. The lowest cylinder was 165 psi and the highest was about 175, so this engine is healthy. This is a one owner car and it has always been well maintained. The car is 100 percent complete, including the jack, factory toolbox with some tools and unused Michelin spare tire. Has a factory air conditioning.

Exterior
This car spent all its life in southern California.
The body is excellent apart from one or two small imperfection areas, but this car is very, very solid and sound, underneath and above. The car has been repainted once, and it still presentable. The original chrome is excellent, as the pictures show. It comes with the original tool kit and jack and a factory workshop manual.

Interior
Sometime in the recent past the interior was reupholstered professionally in high quality black leather, as original. The leather is supple and free of tears, fading, or other damage. The carpets were also replaced, probably at the same time, and they are in good condition. Headliner is excellent. The woodwork is original. Also has electric windows and AC.
THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN THIS GREAT CLASSIC!
