We are informed by the vendor that this D-Type evocation was commissioned by a Swedish enthusiast in 1993 at a cost of close to £100,000. Its shape is that of the beautiful long nose D-Type, and the whole car is said to be extremely well detailed. The used alloy tub is rivetted to period specification and the car is supplied with the passenger rigid tonneau and D-Type style steering wheel.

Sitting on Dunlop tyres shot to steel wheels with knock off spinners, the car is finished in British racing green with a black interior, and correct style instrumentation. Its engine is a Jaguar 4.2-litre unit with triple Webber 45 DCOE carbs and a 5-speed gearbox.

Furthermore it is equipped with independent rear suspension and a Kenlowe fan. Said to have covered in the region of just 1,000 miles since built, this RHD recreation is sure to please its next owner at a minimum fraction of the price of the real thing.
