aguar 1966 3.8S Saloon, last year for this deluxe edition, $60,000 plus 2000-2002 body on frame mechanical / cosmetic restoration. Rebuilt original 3.8 liter 220 hp 6 cyl. engine, rebuilt 4 speed transmission with rare and desirable overdrive. New Clutch,brakes, carbs, rubber seals, glass,radial tires. Options include power steering, power disc brakes, power antenna, overdrive, 72 spoke chrome wire wheels with knock off hubs. Car features biscuit leather, Wilton carpets, restored interior burlwood, rebuilt constant-read guages, seat belts upgraded AM/FM/LD.Odometer set to zero during restoration approx.4,000 since. Lot #406 - This luxury-class Jaguar has power rack & pinion steering, power disc brakes, a dual overhead cam 3.8-liter six with dual SU carbs and a 4-Speed manual transmission plus overdrive. Original drive train, all new. Totally rebuilt by Faithful Automotive Services in Huntington, NY with a full restoration done at that time. The engine rebuild alone cost $14,000+ with a 0.20 over bore, new 9:1 pistons, new cams, new bearings, new valves, and a ported and polished head. The 4-speed transmission was rebuilt and a new clutch fitted. The electric overdrive was rebuilt and the rear end was resealed. The power rack & pinion steering was thoroughly gone through and the 4-wheel disc brakes are all new. On the interior, all new Connolly leather was installed and the original wood dash and trim re-varnished. All instruments have been rebuilt and calibrated and it has a premium stereo. The Opalescent Maroon paint is factory correct with a silver metallic base coat and all chrome is exceptional. New chrome knock-off wheels with new Dunlop radials. Everything was completed 3,942 miles ago and is documented in a 50+ page written narrative with receipts. The cost of the mechanical rebuild totaled $45,833.68.

This 1966 Jaguar 3.8S is powered by a dual overhead cam 3.8-liter inline-six engine equipped with dual SU carburetors, rebuilt with a 0.020-inch overbore, new 9:1 pistons, new cams, new bearings, new valves, and a ported and polished cylinder head, with a comprehensive engine rebuild. The original drivetrain has been retained and fully rebuilt, including the four-speed manual transmission, which was rebuilt and fitted with a new clutch, along with a rebuilt electric overdrive unit and a resealed rear differential. The power rack-and-pinion steering system was thoroughly reconditioned, and the car is equipped with rebuilt four-wheel power disc brakes. The interior features all-new Connolly leather upholstery with the original wood dashboard and trim revarnished and all instruments rebuilt and recalibrated, complemented by a premium stereo system. The exterior is finished in factory-correct Opalescent Maroon paint with a Silver Metallic basecoat, accented by exceptional chrome trim, chrome knock-off wheels and new Dunlop radial tires.
