Auction description:
French title
Chassis n ° 80345DN
- Same owner for 47 years, two owners from new!
- Always maintained by specialists
- French provenance
This superb MK II was sold new on 24 February 1966, by the Parisian Jaguar dealer Royal Elysées. It was then registered on 17 March in Paris. A great fan of quality automobiles, its current owner acquired this car through the Courcelles Autos-Sports garage in Paris from its first owner on 11 September 1974. Thus, until 2018, when it got a veteran registration, the car retained its original registration. The maintenance between 1966 and 1974 (the car had then less than 20,000 km on the clock) can be traced by the stamped service booklet, and then, from 1974, the numerous invoices for work carried out by specialists of the brand have been retained. In 1983, the car was entrusted to Lecoq for a change from its original "Golden Sand" color to a beautiful British green. In 1991, a power steering system, the efficiency of which we were able to assess, was adapted. The superb tobacco leather interior is original, with an inimitable patina, while the carpets have been redone. The original steering wheel, replaced by a Nardi, will be supplied with the car, along with its custom protective cover. The original toolbox is present and complete. Few of the Mark IIs have such a clear history, a maintenance record since new, and offering such a quality of presentation and operation.
Estimation 30 000 - 50 000 €
