Car to be at auction 3/26
www.aguttes.com//lot/173669/32554331-1962-jaguar-mk2-4-2-by-roadster-group-upgra ...

Auction description:
Aguttes - La Vente de Printemps, Paris, France 15 March, 2026
Lot 22
1962 – Jaguar Mk2 4.2 by Roadster Group Upgraded
Estimate €45,000 - €65,000
Chassis n° 177 879
This example underwent a complete restoration in the Netherlands by the renowned Roadster Group, specialists in optimized Mk2s, with one goal: to create a modernized grand tourer capable of covering 40,000 km per year while preserving its original aesthetics.
Our example was completely disassembled and then rebuilt to a remarkable standard. Every mechanical and structural component was reworked to offer reliability, rigidity, and driving pleasure comparable to those of a modern car.
Equipped with a 208 hp Jaguar XJ engine, a 5-speed manual gearbox, and an optimized suspension and rear axle, this Mk2 also features modernized power steering and an upgraded braking system. The performance is breathtaking, and the handling is reassuring.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
