Ebay item 6/26/07 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $4,700 reserve not met, 5 bids, 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1960 Jaguar MK II,
The car is very clean and in very good condition overall. This car is in need of restoration inside and out, last time it was driven was 3 years ago and it run fine when pasrked. The car was in mu garage which has climate control. I have several cars in my collection and its time to sell most of it as I need to upgrade my collection.
The car was originally purchased in Brussells Belgium by Doctor Emile Beine, a Maroccan Doctor who was the Doctor of the late King Hassan of Marocco. The car was in Desert climate since new, it was parked either in Tanger or Casablanca both of which are in the Desert. The car was used very little by the Doctor as you can from the low Kilometrage (38000 Kilometers) aprox. 25000 miles to date.
The car was bought by a wealthy California buusinessman and brought to the US in September 1981. In that time the car was brought up to US standards and issued a California Title. In California the car was in El-Centro which is the owners farm, also a Desert climate and was driven very little as it was bought for investment. It was last registered in 1994. The car was moved in 2004 to Beverly Hills to be sold, and I have had it since then parked in my collector's garage in Cave Creek Arizona.
The car is very solid, complete, and very original, it seems that in the 1980's seat coveres were put over the front seats leather, but that's about it.
The car has few sratches. It is a great candidate for a restoration.
From 1960-1968 there were 2800 MKII imported to the US, out of which 2225 were automatic 3.8 cars, and 575 were manual 3.8 cars, there are reports that only 7 cars which are 3.4L brought to the US from various parts of the world and only 4 are in tact. It has 4 Speed Manual with OD, and 4 wheel disk brakes. This one is very rare, especially for its history and condition.
