This 1960 Jaguar MK 2 3.4 Sedan is an early production model manufactured in April 1960. I've owned the car since 2005. It is equipped with a 3.4 liter engine, 4-speed manual transmission with (non-operable) overdrive and a traction lock rear differential. The transmission is a later model all-synchro gearbox replacing the original Moss box. The previous owner had the engine rebuilt by a Jaguar specialist. The engine runs strong and exhibits very consistent compression readings across all 6 cylinders. The dual SU carburetors were professionally rebuilt during my ownership.
The car was painted prior to my ownership and shows chips and and cracks commensurate with the age. The leather seats and vinyl door panels are unrestored items sourced from a donor car. The wool headliner has been replaced. All interior wood has been refinished. Windshield has been replaced. A stainless exhaust system is installed. Front and rear bumpers have been replated.
The underside is unrestored and shows no structural corrosion problems. All four doors have blisters in the lower portion of the doors which is a common area of corrosion in the MK2. Total mileage is unknown.
