The owner indicates that he is the fourth owner of this car since its arrival on French soil. This Jaguar benefited from an exterior and mechanical renovation around twenty years ago. The upholstery was also renovated about ten years ago. This MK2 is matching numbers on the chassis and engine. The previous owner replaced the original 4-speed gearbox with overdrive with a Getrag 5-speed manual gearbox which offers better driving pleasure.
This Jaguar is in very good cosmetic and mechanical condition.
Exterior: The bodywork presents very well. The painting is in good general condition. However, we note some minor defects linked to the age and use of the car. The rims look good and the chrome is sparkling. The optics are also in very good condition.
Interior: The cabin is in excellent condition and offers a comfortable and spacious atmosphere. The upholstery, redone about ten years ago, in light beige leather, is in excellent condition. The woodwork on the columns, dashboard and steering wheel presents well; and all on-board instrumentation is functional.
Mechanical: The engine starts and runs well. It has been made more reliable on several points: ignition, cooling and even a conversion to SP98. He takes his turns well and delivers all his power. The stainless steel line installed on the car gives it a magnificent sound. The disc brakes, whose master cylinders and cooling system were changed in 2019, work very well. Road handling is excellent.
Basements: The bases are sound and free from perforating corrosion. Photos are available upon request.
