It is amazing how these cars travel. The car was located in Florida close to my USA base where I work sourcing cars for our two workshops in Sheffield and also our specialist Jaguar restoration workshop (Watjag) at Longstone in the Peak District.
This car is not to be missed and is for sale as is or for us to carry out a partial restoration or a full bespoke restoration to our customers instructions.
Originally supplied via Henleys London to Mr R Mathews, Est Court Rd Gloucester on the 16th October 1965 it was subsequently purchased by Mr Arthur Wyman Saintbridge Close, Gloucester in 1977.Finally purchased by Mr Del Jondahl in 1982, it was shipped over to the USA when he moved there, and it has been in his long term ownership ever since. A history file for the period of Mr Jondahl’s ownership comes with the car.
This file contains $30,000 of receipts which include a full repaint in 2003. The car still shows well and there is no exterior rust.
We are aware that a little underside work is required and some general tidying up.The interior is completely original and does require some work which would be done in accordance with any clients requests.
So, this car is on it’s way home and due back in the UK in around a month’s time. A wonderful opportunity to purchase a noted and excellent Mk 2.
The price will be around £20k as is, plus any additional work through our workshop or as a bespoke restoration.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
