Seller's description:

16,659 Miles (Indicated)
manual

Carmen Red

3.4L
VIN 161828BW
Cheltenham, VIC, Australia
A handsome and characterful British saloon, this Jaguar MKII is presented in a handsome colour scheme and benefits from an upgraded gearbox conversion.
Power comes from a 3.4-litre naturally aspirated inline-six, which sends its power to the rear wheels via an upgraded five-speed manual gearbox in place of the original BorgWarner automatic.
First registered in 1962, this example is currently unregistered and has reportedly been with its current owner for four years.
The odometer shows 16,660 miles, though this is not warranted.
Build year: 1962
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
This MkII is finished in Carmen Red over a cream leather-trimmed interior.
It rides on 15-inch chrome wire wheels, fitted with Champiro GT Radial tyres.
The cabin is equipped with a selection of Smiths dials, toggle switches for the controls, and manually operated windows, it is now fitted with a more modern Kenwood CD player audio head unit with USB and auxiliary connectivity..
As well as the updated gearbox conversion, it also now features electric power steering.
It is accompanied by a workshop manual, one door key, and one ignition key.
CONDITION
Specific notes from the seller include: both rear wheel spats have rust bubbles, as does the offside rear door. There are paint cracks around the offside headlamp and front valance. The colour match around the bootlid is poor. The sills have been replaced, and the car has been repainted at some stage.
SERVICE HISTORY
The seller states that the most recent maintenance was performed by specialist Intermarque. It reportedly carried out significant work during the course of 2016-17, including a steering box overhaul, a complete front end rebuild, rear axle bearings and seals, replacement of the front and rear discs, an overhaul of the master cylinder, replacement of the exhaust system and sills, new clutch master and slave cylinders, and the fitment of electric power steering. The seller notes that the car has covered just over 2,000 miles since this work was completed.
