Current bid $1,500, 6 bids 3 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1966 Jaguar Mark II 2.4L with overdrive. This car in unusually solid in areas that usually rust out, like doors and floorboards. While there is some rust in the trunk area and spots of the floor and small sections of the lower front fenders, this is an excellent prospect for restoration. The engine is intact but not running. 95% complete - missing the horn button, front signal lenses and sidelamps, grill medallion and leaping Jaguar. The car has the very desirable overdrive manual gearbox. Doors close easily with no sag or misalignment. Complete NOS original factory Jaguar overhaul gasket set for the 2.4L engine is included in this sale. This car is too nice to part out.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
