Car to be at auction 12/15
www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2015-11-28/car/ref-37-1968-jaguar-420-saloon ...

Auction description:
Historics at Brooklands
Lot 316 - 1968 Jaguar 420 Saloon
Registration NKG 810K
Chassis Number PIF7709BW
Engine Number 7F10368-8
Odometer reading 76,083 miles
Estimate £7,000 - £12,000

This 1968 Jaguar 420 Saloon was in the same family from new until it was recently purchased by the vendor direct from the family estate where it had been in storage since 1981. The mileage of 76,000 miles is believed to be correct for this matching numbers car. The current owner has completed extensive re-commissioning which has included a bare metal repaint, new rubbers all-round, refurbishing the interior woodwork, new headlining, carrying out a full service and rebuilding the carburettors. This 420 is finished in Old English White with its original blue leather interior and the original factory chrome wire wheels and comes supplied with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate which expires in October 2016. This is a very rare opportunity to purchase one of the rarest production Jaguars of the 1960's.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
