www.bonhams.com/auctions/25825/preview_lot/5321391/

Auction description:

1961 Jaguar MK2 3.4

Registration no. YSU308

Chassis no. 157695

£ 20,000 - 25,000

US$ 24,000 - 31,000

Sold for £ 14,625 inc.premium, (US$ 19,149)

Bonhams MPH November Auction

Odometer Reading: 100000

MOT Expiry:

This manual gearbox equipped 1961 Jaguar 3.4 – often regarded as the most desirable of the 'Mk2' models – breaks out of the traditional red-with-black-interior colour combination mode, in mid-grey with a delightfully patinated red interior, and it sits on steel wheels rather than wires. The vendor ranks the bodywork (and paint) as five stars, the seating, headlining and trim as three stars and for those who believe their 'compact' Jaguar should be driven, the engine's running and appearance each receive four stars. Sensibly guided, Bonhams MPH's 3.4 should prove highly rewarding for its next owner.

Car to return to auction 1/20

angliacarauctions.co.uk/classic/saturday-25th-january-2020/1962-jaguar-mkii-34-m ...

Auction description:

1962 Jaguar MKII 3.4 M/OD

Lot Number: 188

Estimate: £17,500 - 20,500

V5 Present

MoT Jan 2021

Chassis number: 157695DN

Very sharp cosmetically, this 3.4 had over £24000 spent around 4 years ago. Works included a high quality repaint and VSE engine rebuild. Sold new in South Africa, this example has had just 2 doctor owners since repatriation in 1989. The history file contains current and older style V5c's, expired tax discs and MOT certificates, a quantity of invoices along with date and build confirmation letters from Jaguar.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
